# SLIME GENESIS: THE AWAKENING OF THE ENTITY

## 2. THE THREE PATHS OF IDENTITY
Rather than selecting a traditional character class, players experience organic evolution. The character's body gradually mutates toward one of three distinct poles, or maintains a balanced state between them:
### HUMAN ASCENSION (THE PATH OF CONSCIOUSNESS)
Through the assimilation of knowledge, magic, and humanoid forms, the character's mass becomes increasingly structured and organized.
**Gameplay Experience:** The character learns to imitate human voice, gestures, and moral frameworks. This opens access to civilized areas: cities become accessible, trade becomes possible, and participation in political intrigue becomes viable.
**Narrative Tension:** The character must navigate the boundary between genuine humanity and monstrous imitation. Non-player characters may detect anomalies such as the absence of blinking or unnaturally cold skin temperature.
### BEAST INSTINCT (THE PATH OF THE PREDATOR)
If the player determines that civilized society is weak or undesirable, they may embrace the ferocity of natural predation.
**Gameplay Experience:** The character transforms into a chimera possessing fangs, claws, and enhanced sensory capabilities. Traditional weapons become unnecessary as the character's body becomes the weapon itself. The character's domain shifts to wilderness environments: forests, mountains, and nocturnal territories.
**Narrative Tension:** The character becomes known as the "monster of the forest." Human settlements will dispatch heroes to eliminate the threat, while wild creatures recognize the character as their Alpha predator.
### PURE SLIME (THE PATH OF CHAOS)
The character rejects fixed form entirely, choosing instead to enhance and refine their original amorphous nature.
**Gameplay Experience:** The character remains an amorphous, unpredictable, and lethal mass. Capabilities include passing through locks, dissolving metallic barriers, and absorbing abilities that would be impossible for other character types to combine.
**Narrative Tension:** The character exists as an anomaly to all known categories. This being defies established laws of biology and logical classification.

Character form determines available stealth mechanics and environmental interaction methods:
**Human Form:** Social stealth systems enable deception, disguise, and normal social interaction within civilized environments.
**Beast Form:** Hunting stealth focuses on natural predation: stalking from undergrowth, climbing structures, and executing attacks from shadowed positions.
**Slime Form:** Structural stealth utilizes the character's amorphous nature: mimicking environmental features (such as puddles), filtering through narrow passages (pipes, cracks), and hiding in spaces inaccessible to solid forms.
